Tripadvisor - Beautiful old home

Located on a hill overlooking Seven Tree Pond, the location is exceptional. There are waterfront activities like canoeing, kayaking and swimming available. The Homestead is part of Union’s interesting history and beautifully renovated with all modern comforts. The hosts are friendly without being intrusive. There are two beautiful cats in residence now. With their own chickens, the breakfasts are Devine. Fresh pastries are available at breakfast and wonderful cookies for snacking in the afternoon. There would be plates, glasses and silverware set out for use at lunch or dinner and nice takeout facilities in the nearby village. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay.

Tripadvisor - Wonderful stay; so accommodating

It was a pleasure for my husband and I and my sister‘s family to stay in both rooms at the Homestead. The setting is lovely and the owners, Yvonne and Tom are extremely congenial and accommodating. Both rooms were very comfy and despite the heat, the air conditioning kept us cool. We also enjoyed swimming in the lake with our whole crew, including my sister‘s dog. The bed and breakfast is well located for day trips, to nearby Belfast, Camden and rock land. Breakfasts were yummy as were Yvonne‘s cookies. And cold water and tea and coffee were also available during the day. Don’t miss out on purchasing some of their absolutely delicious homemade honey! We brought many jars home as gifts, and of course some for ourselves. We would not hesitate to return if we were in the area again and highly recommend a stay here.

My wife and I stayed there with her sister and their family and Golden Doodle for 4 nights earlier this month. The accommodations were beautiful and very comfortable, the breakfasts delicious and Tom and Yvonne were very hospitable and easy going. Great swims and paddles on the lake / river and a super quiet location. The location is actually great for people who want to have access within half an hour to various places along the coast, including Rockland, Camden, Rockport and our favorite Belfast. Highly recommended!

Thanks you both for making our Mother/ Daughter's weekend so memorable! Yvonne &Tom are awesome host and make you feel at home as soon as you get there. The fresh made breakfast with homemade cranberry sconces are amazing and the rooms are so comfortable. You can't beat the price either so much better than a stuffy old hotel room.! We will be back again!💜

Tripadvisor - A Perfect Getaway

My fiancé and I took a two day “staycation” to the David Robbins Homestead located on stunning Seven Tree Pond in Union, Maine. Our room looked straight out over the beautiful field to the pond - it was instantly peaceful. We had an attached bathroom which included a jetted tub for two. The bed and bedding were so comfortable we are ordering the brand this weekend for our own home. Breakfast was made when we went downstairs - omelettes, toast with their homemade grape jam, local berries and of course bacon! They have everything you need for the pond; kayaks, canoes, fishing gear, life jackets, and sitting areas to relax. Even though this was a “staycation” we felt so at home at the homestead with Yvonne and Tom.
I also want to add that my fiancé flipped his kayak and lost his phone, Yvonne spent hours in the pond snorkeling to help us and even went out during the calm morning hours the next day.
My fiancé and I can’t wait to go back for another staycation. Thank you Yvonne and Tom!

My first experience staying at a bed-and-breakfast was a wonderful one! Yvonne and Tom were absolutely delightful. Our only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer! The grounds and the house were gorgeous and the view was spectacular! Our room was so great that we have already reserved it for Valentine's Day next year!

Awesome in every way! - Tripadvisor

My stays at David Robbins Homestead get better every year. This was my 13th year staying at this wonderful B&B. This Beautiful old farmhouse is meticulously well maintained, and just so comfortable. The new post and beam barn they have been working on for the last couple years truly adds to the beauty and luxury of the retreat. Yvonne and Tom are very gracious hosts. They do everything to make you feel welcome into their home. The rooms are awesome, especially the Lilac Room, with its large picture window overlooking the Lake. This year Yvonne took me for a tour of the property in her new 4-wheeler, or should I say their new 4-wheeler. My favorite is the wonderful breakfast, fresh eggs from their chickens, blueberry muffins, fresh fruit, juice and great coffee.

Wonderful experience - Tripadvisor

My daughter and I traveled to Union to attend a memorial service for a family member. A cousin of mine who lives in Union referred us to this place. It was clean, comfortable and situated on a lake. The {owners} are both lovely people, very welcoming and friendly. The Homestead is pet friendly, and my tiny chihuahua enjoyed interacting with one of the resident cats. Breakfast included eggs from the family flock, and homemade blueberry bread, served on the deck overlooking a meadow with the lake in view. I look forward to another visit at this special place.

Beautiful B&B inside & out. The grounds are gorgeous! We sat on a bench by the water before we left & it was wonderful. The owners are great & the resident kitties are adorable. Our room was awesome & breakfast was delicious! I cannot say enough about this rural gem. It’s just perfect. I highly recommend it.

We arrived late and were greeted immediately with warm hospitality.
The accommodations were clean and inviting. In the morning we were pleased to see that the view was just as amazing as our hosts had been to us the entire time. David Robbins Homestead is a beautifully maintained historic place both in age and in experience. I highly recommended this bed and breakfast to anyone who wants to set the standards high for future stays at other places of similar approach. -

We had the BEST experience at the David Robbins Homestead! The innkeepers are wonderful and they had a outdoor fire ready for us when we settled in for the evening. The rooms are very nice and we slept in great comfort. Breakfast on the deck in the sun was to die for! We will be back for certain!!

This is a homey B & B in a very nicely renovated, but not overdone, very old farmhouse. The setting is quiet and secluded with nice views. The breakfasts are scrumptious and made to order. The hosts were friendly and engaging. Yvonne was very helpful with guiding us to restaurants, hiking, and museums and answering our questions about the area. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and we hope that we’ll have the opportunity to make a return visit sometime.

I can’t say enough good things about my stay at the Homestead. First, the hosts, Tom and Yvonne, are probably my favorite hosts ever. There was a familiarity about them that’s difficult to put into words. Sometimes you know you’re going to like someone the moment you meet them. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and their good cooking. Hope they finish the barn and woodshop before I make it back there (they’re building it themselves!)

The home itself was as charming as they are. Loved seeing the chickens and turkey’s running around. I was there in July for a woodworking class at Lie-Neilson which was a short 10 min drive away. Being able to jump in the lake when the weather got toasty was an added bonus. - Google

"Fantastic homestead B&B! " - Tripadvisor

Beautiful clean, comfortable room with stunning view of lake and fields. Breakfast was delicious, it was blueberry season. We were so involved in conversation with the other guests and Tom and Yvonne that when we looked up, a relaxing two hours had gone by. We were in Union for a concert at Savage Oakes Vineyard. If you haven't seen a summer concert there you should. When you go to Savage Oakes, stay at David Robbins Homestead, it's only a few minutes drive!

"While I have stayed at a number of B&B's over the years, I have to say, hands down, this was the nicest experience I have ever had! Not only do Tom and Yvonne create a warm and friendly home environment, the house is nicely located on Seven Tree Pond (really a lake) which brings a lot of wildlife to see while the calls of the loons in the evening bring a satisfying close to the day. I simply cannot offer a superlative of the days that went far beyond my expectations!" - Facebook

"A Wonderful Maine Excursion x 2" - Tripadvisor

"I visited at the David Robbins Homestead twice this year. August, for the Union WildBlueberry Festival, October for a trip up to Acadia. Tom and Yvonne Pitzi, the owners of this wonderful place are sweet, attentive and down to earth. The sunrise suite rocks, hint, leave the shades up. The breakfast is generous, tasty and local ingredients are used. A + in my book and I am an experienced traveler. " A treasure to those who choose to visit!"
